RIFT Team Concentrating On Quality Of Life While Working Out Details For Future
Following Gamigo's purchase of Trion Worlds' properties, there have been a lot of questions about what will happen to all the games. So far, we've discovered that XL Games is working out a deal with Gamigo for ArcheAge's future, and that Trove will continue development -- just in a different way.
So, what about RIFT? Well, earlier today a post was made on the RIFT site regarding its current status. Unfortunately for long-time players, not much information was given. From what we can tell, the game is in a bit of a temporary maintenance mode until the development team can figure out its future.
During this time, they will be focusing on "Quality of Life" changes for the game.
The note does state that they are working to "build a strong foundation for the future", and that all future updates rely on what they're doing now.
The team also asks players for feedback on the QoL changes they'd like to see. Players can offer their input on the RIFT forums.
