The New ‘Swords’ Weapon Class Drops In The First Descendant’s Today
The game’s latest update also introduces new dungeons and battles.
Fans of pointy, stabby objects, rejoice. Today’s update brings the new ‘Swords’ weapon class to the free-to-play looter-shooter The First Descendant, allowing players to get up close and personal in combat. Two swords have been introduced as part of this update, “Shadow” and “Deus Ex Manus”. Both have their own special abilities and offer unique defensive mechanics.
The update also introduces a new Void Vessel Dungeon to the game – the Medium-Sized Facility Zone. In addition to containing new bosses, the dungeon also features Hover Bike racing sections in both Normal and Hard difficulty – complete with boost and jump pads. Of course, there’s a new boss, and as this is the sword update, he’ll be using sword-based attacks as well. Farming this dungeon will earn players new swords, sword modules, and External Components.
A new Void Intercept Battle has been added as well. Abyss, Lava Citadel is a variant of the Molten Fortress. It features mechanics using flame tornadoes and a boss that utilizes expanding fire attacks. Players should be prepared for a lot of dodging.
Three new Trigger Modules have been introduced as well. ‘Supply Fortress’ generates ammunition and grants additional reflect damage. ‘Wave Eruption’ boosts movement speed and damage output. And, ‘Rhythm Step’, which is exclusive to Luna, provides stacking movement speed buffs and maximum shield when using rhythm-type skills.
