Ultima Online: New Legacy Open Beta Dates Announced, Will Recur Each Weekend
It’s taken a while, but it’s finally happening.
It’s been four years since a new server ruleset designed to bring new players into Ultima Online was announced. Now, finally, it’s almost here. In fact, the MMORPG’s new server is going into open beta this weekend, on July 26. The test will take place over three days, ending on July 28.
Don’t worry if you can’t get into testing this weekend, however. As it turns out, the plan is to open the server back up every weekend (Friday-Sunday) until the game actually launches. No date was mentioned for that, so the developers are probably waiting to see how testing goes before making any decisions.
If this is your first time hearing about New Legacy – or you’d just forgotten about it over the span of four years – you can find information about it on the Ultima Online site. You can also watch this trailer which shows off the theme-park style they're going for.
