13 Years In And Vindictus Still Introduces New Playable Characters, Next Up The Warrior Achel
Achel uses a spear and shield in combat.
Thirteen years since the game launched, Nexon continues to add new playable characters to Vindictus. Today, they introduced Achel, an orphan turned mercenary from the ruined city-state of Connacht.
Achel makes use of a spear and shield in combat. The spear, the Hasta, was the weapon of choice in ancient Connacht and is designed for repeated stabbings. It also works for sweeping attacks. The shield is known as the Grand Targe, and is designed to work with the Hasta, both defending the wielder and facilitating blunt attacks.
Achel‘s skills are built around these two weapons, allowing him to perform repeated stabbing and slashing attacks. If he stomps his foot, he unleashes an adrenaline spike, using it to perform better attacks including a specialty combo that rushes the enemy. He’s also capable of moving quickly, using it to quickly leap toward the enemy.
In honor of the new character, Nexon is hosting an in-game event titled “Achel’s Celebratory Package". Players need a level 10 Achel or above to participate. Don’t worry, there’s time. It kicks off on September 19.
