Wear A Mandragora Outfit And Enjoy FFXI's Sunshine Seeker Special Event
Players will have the chance to win rare prizes in a special lottery system.
With the warmth of summer almost here, Final Fantasy XI is bringing the fun in the sun to its players with the Sunshine Seeker special event. Starting from June 13, 1:00 a.m. (PDT) until June 27, 7:59 a.m, players can sport the guise of a mandragora and complete tasks to receive special equipment like the Lycopodium Mallet.
Players will first need to speak with Babban Ny Mheillea to receive a mandragora mask and mandragora suit. After equipping the two items, players will need to speak to Babban again to hear the explanation on how to play.
In Sunshine Seeker, participants will be tasked with retrieving shards of sunshine. Players are reduced to level 1 for the duration of the event, and a time limit will display at the top of the screen. Players will need to try to collect as many shards of sunlight as possible within three minutes by examining the shards resting on the ground. Be warned, some of Babban's companions roam the area and if they attack, players will receive an NPC-specific penalty.
After giving the shards to Babban, she will then provide the player with seeds in exchange for the shards. These seeds can be exchanged for items or used to participate in a mini lottery. If a player participates in the lottery a certain number of times, they will earn the right to participate in a special lottery that awards a variety of rare prizes.
Enjoy the fun and the sun in the Sunshine Seeker special event.
