Zenimax Online New IP

Four years into development and still not much news has been released surrounding Zenimax Online’s newest IP. What we do know so far is that the Creative Director Ben Jones is currently managing a team of 50, while 200 people around the world are working on the upcoming title.

Jones mentions during an interview with the Product Builders podcast how the game is a large-scope project with considerable investment. However, as four years have been sunk into the game, this alone could have already been speculated. The lead graphics engineer at Zenimax Online also mentioned that the new AAA IP will be built on a brand-new game engine, so this could be why there has not been too much information released yet. That, or the game is just that large and could possibly be an MMO.

The company has also started hiring more roles for the project, one role in particular for the Lead Quest Designer hinting that there is indeed a high possibility of the title being an MMO as in the preferred skills section they mention ‘experience developing Open World games’, and ‘development experience on a multiplayer, online game’. Hopefully, more information will be released soon. For those who want to watch the full interview with Zenimax Online's Creative Director, they can do so below.
