Always Online Podcast: Blue Protocol Or Tower Of Fantasy, Pick One...And Real or Fake Gaming News Headlines? Ep 439

Doing the show a day early instead of cancelling and today we'll look at both Tower of Fantasy and Blue Protocol and decide which we are more interested in, look at Shadow Arena closing and Heroes of the Storm headed to maintenance mode, see how Aion decided to balance PvP a decade late...and quiz the team with some gaming headlines...but not all of them are real. You're telling me a company that uses predatory monetization like gacha mechanics might be scummy? *Surprised Pikachu face*
If Tower of Fantasy wasn't a gacha game I would be more excited for it than Blue Protocol. I want game with the open world exploration and cell shaded look of Botw but with real rpg mechanics. Tower of Fantasy or Genshin could have been that game but gacha mechanics tie so much of the power progression to pulls instead of actually playing game that it ruins any sense of progression.
