A BOMB to Mike. WoW World First race was and still is a completely community driven events, it was never officially supported by Blizzard. They release a raid, and players within the community have demonstrated
enough interest in who kills the last boss first to turn the race into a pretty massive and entertaining event with livestreams and casters and sponsors. WoW World First is organized by organizations like Echo, LIMIT (now Liquid), Method and few other small ones and NOT Blizzard themselves. Blizzard up until the last race actually never even acknowledged the race. They did it somehow in the last race by sending some tweets and that's it. Saying repeatedly that they are somehow better than SE, in that case, is simply wrong and not true.
