F2P Cast: Race Change in Real Life? (EP 74)
On this week's particularly lengthy episode we invite our Youtuber friend X otherwise known as davidr64yt to the show. Opinions fly as we discuss new PvP updates for several MMOs ranging from castle assaults in Tera , to ball based esports in Firefall, and fortress flying fighters in Aion. We also talk about Wargaming's vocal grievances with Microsoft and whether Planetside 2 is actually a sandbox MMO. Don't forget, we finish the episode with the usual bombs and we mgive the brand new member topic segment a spin. Tune in for all of this and more on this week's episode of the Free-to-Play Cast!
If you have submissions for the show's Weekly Bombs, have questions for the panel (nothing is off limits!), or just ideas for what you want covered you can now send them to michael@mmobomb.com. I'd also like to give a big fat A bomb to Planetside 2 and sony. Sony, I love you, I really do, but it doesn't matter how many new vehicles, new guns, or player driven content you put out. if the game is buggy as hell its a bad game. Planetside 2 is a like a dog, and you love that dog, but its covered with fleas.
When it comes to what kind of pvp I like it really depends on what type of game it is. When it comes to Tab-target games like.... Forsaken World I prefer smaller battles wether it's team death or objective. While action combat games such as Tera I prefer open combat on any scale. Now when it comes to shooters such as Planetside 2 or Battlefield 3, the bigger the battle the better, whether it's objective or Team Death. Make it as large as possible.
Looking forward to the next show.
