Jason... *sigh*... you know normally I agree with you quite a bit, grumpiness and all. I'm going to -hope- you were meaning to say that you didn't want inane or tutorialize 'story' quests. If you meant actually engaging story quests such as the watercolor story cutscenes in Archeage, or the many beautiful story cutscened quests in both MMO iterations of Final Fantasy then... well I'll have to rant at you. And you've hit a button so here we go, why in the Netherworld are you playing RPGs?! MMO or not the RPG part of it stands for 'role playing game', as in you take on a role in the -story-. If all you want is to craft and/or kill things, go play something else, like, literally any other genre. 'I don't want story' Well, go play a MOBA then, 'dumbass'.

For the question of the week, I believe A:IR will probably adopt a buy to play model. Why? BDO's success plays into this as it, too was an unknown IP. Furthermore even though A:IR is an unknown IP, it's far from an unknown developer, so they have that going for them as well. And of course it gives them a way to recoup some of their investment upfront with the obvious option of going free to play later if it will better suit them. All in all it seems like the most sound option.

P.S. Q - you totally are the weekly bomb. (In a good way). Love you guys.
