Funny listening to last weeks question of the weeks answers, the reasons to pick one over another are the same tired old excuses.

f2p, = pay to win, loads of noobs and scum, rmt etc lesser quality game
Buy to play, keeps the riffraff out, not not pay to win less/no rmt..better than average game
Sub, even less riffraff...you get it all without needing mtx's better game quality game the the previous two

But most of us know that this is not true.
Free to play can be excellent quality, and not pay to win
Buy to play can still be pay to win and shit
And having a sub dose not mean a game will be good, or not try to nickle and dime you with shit mtx's you feel you need

And in all cases you'll still have riffraff and RMT spam...hell ESO had it during the early access before launch and that had a box fee and sub.

Anyway, Da bomb (again) For path of exiles next update coming the 11th of December, particularly for the new skill and support gems which look to be another game changer (curses acting as auras)

For the question of the week, if I were to have GM powers, I would take being able to flag renames for all the -terrible- names on my RP servers. Talk about a pet peeve. Yes, we know your Tauren is bovine, no it's not funny to reference it. You are not -insert NPC name here-; and furthermore we can inspect your character if we want to know what class or role you are. There's a damn random button if you're just that uncreative.

Re Jason's conversation about progression.
If you look back at MUDs there often wasn't the same kind of linear progression via zones that MMOs have. You might find certain zones slightly tougher than others, but on the whole you could go to any zone in the game to find a range of difficulty for all characters, with the exception that the ones immediately around the starting area tended to be much easier - I wonder if this is where the MMO style progression developed from.

You don't know the storm of overpowerness you've unleashed magic man. If i could have one wish in any mmo I would take the Mount Hua sword in Age of Wushu. This sword is rewarded to the top player in the Mount Hua tournament every month ,but only for one week. This sword allows you to combine any skills, from any set, without being locked out , AND it constantly scales with other weapons making its power indefinite. Essentially, this weapon would wipe out any remnant of fans Age of Wushu has left.

Because most of my characters are fairly squishy I think I would have the power to syphon 50 percent of health from my enemies once my character reach 10 percent of health. I will give it a sixty second cooldown, because if I can't survive sixty seconds I don't need to be playing MMOs.

That's the thing about Blizzard. They are a huge huge company they got the money. They also have been making games a lot longer than many other gaming companies out there. They have a very large fan base. Last they make quality games that do pretty well in sales as well as games that stay around and stand the test of time.

Also these days F2P games as well as mobile games have been getting a bad rep by the gaming community. Mainly because of micro transactions. Some people are getting tired of it. Also i am starting to see more F2P games shut down. Other's get passed on to a different company and even then the game still does horrible and will die.
