In regards to valorant you had to watch people who had access to the early streamer event on the 3rd of April (which is about 300 people) but on the 7th you will just need to watch any valorant stream even if its just a random 1 viewer stream.

I am quite fine with it for the simple reason that this game has a huge amount of people waiting to play, if you let everyone have access to it from the start the servers are very unlikely to hold it all together. Twitch drops basically allow you to give access to the most amount of players in a time-gated way so your servers will be able to hold it.

Maybe getting the axe was the best thing for the game as this looked more Pixar than Marvel.
