QOTW:(oh boy this ended up been way longer than expected , i'm sorry )I don't think that esports are in trouble , yes there might be problems to the competitive sides of some game but not the industry as a whole , i mean my God , Starcraft still has a living and breathing esport scene , the thing is , it's not going to bring as much money as sports do ,basketball , football , baseball , those bring a lot of money way more then games do , right now anyway , and besides , to watch sports it's easier than watching esports , it's not hard to understand what's happening on the football field but you need to know dota 2 when you watch the dota 2 championship, its absolute nonsense , a mishmash of colors , if you never played the game, so the audience is way smaller , and even so there are way to many games that try to go for the big esport scene , like it's the only important thing , none of the games that are the big money makers in esports were intended to be esports , Starcraft was the biggest RTS , DOTA and LOL come from a mod in war 3 , CS was pretty much an lan game to have fun with your friends , The biggest problems , in my opinion, are the greedy devs that look for a way to exploit the competitive side of the game for money instead of making the game good enough for the players to have long time interest in the game . The esports are not going to go anywhere in the age where games are coming out on a daily basis .
