Best gaming gift given this year? Final Fantasy XIV 60 day time card, of course! Only give the best, for the best.
The best gift I have recieved was my original NES, which I got for Hannukah when I was seven. I can point to this as the entire reason I fell in love with gaming.
The best gift I have given is the backwards compatible PS3 I got for my husband several years ago. I had to go all across town to find one since it was the only model at the time that could play PS1, 2, and 3 games, but it was well worth it to see the smile on his face, especially since he had no idea I was getting it.
The final one has to do with this year and ESO... I avoided this game like the plague despite being an avid Elder Scrolls fan. Once they announced fixed classes I was just done with it, though I did glance at it once or twice vaguely out of basically morbid curiousity. A couple of days ago, the hubby and I were discussing what to do for the holidays for each other and weighing the options. He came up with ESO... I stared at him like he had offered me a rotten sandwich, but I can't say no to him, so I obliged him and did some research. Since the game was on sale, I decided that the price tag wasn't too much to finally give it a go. In spite of my misgivings, I was shocked to find that it really did feel like an Elder Scrolls game, and one I could now play alongside the hubby. It might not be the split screen I wanted, but being able to ruin delve along side my love makes it priceless.
To answer my question of the week... I bought a Memory Express custom built Gaming PC for my daughter.
