Da-bomb though to Atlas Reactor for some truly hilarious April Fools Day patch notes! (Yes I finally tried it, and I'm hopelessly addicted)
First bomb is unfortunately an A-bomb for Digital Extremes/Warframe. I play Warframe every once in a while and I usually end up going pretty hard on it whenever I pick it back up. This time, I don't think I'll be doing that, though. Between the last time I played and now, they added yet another updated map, but this time with solar railway terminals on most planets. I'm pretty sure they're meant as a guide for linear progression on newer accounts, but I've been playing on and off since open beta, so I'm kind of a veteran. They'd be easy enough to just ignore if they didn't also count for mastery points and unlock some pretty juicy looking quests and items. Thing is, to unlock these terminals, you have to go back and do specific objectives which I guarantee I've already completed. Basic kill/fetch quests, when it comes down to it. So now I'm taking my maxed out Warframe with maxed out weapons back to starter planets and grinding out boring crap I've already done. It's just completely off-putting.
My second bomb is a Da-bomb for Heroes 2.0. I've been playing the crap out of the PTR -- I mean, beta -- since it came out. This is going to be exactly what the game needs to refresh the gameplay loop. Now every match contributes to the possibility of getting something really cool. As for the confusion about progression, here's how I see it. Yeah, you're not keeping any of the stuff you earn in the beta. But, given that the vast majority of people who downloaded the beta started at level nothing, they've already progressed further in the live game and will be retroactively rewarded for what they've already done. For my part, I'm just going to stay on the PTR until this system goes live.
Regarding The Secret World, I have nothing specific to say about the changes because I've never played it. That said, I may be inclined to jump in after the new stuff comes out.
