H1Z1 air drops are pay to event. imo, that's worse than p2w. imagine paying for rifts if RIFT. to me its the lowest of the low. the mechanic is fine. the rewards in it are fine. the excitement it adds is fine. them charging for it is SOE at its finest. I do think it was intended to be p2w and its release state wasn't accidental. I think it was only changed due to the outcry. in its current form there is little reason to buy it without a group to help you get your loot, which begs the question 'who design a cash shop item they don't intend to sell?' to me its paying for an event, that contains a lockbox, that can be stolen. I cant see how that in any way is good for gamers.
