I don't blame MMOs for trying to move to consoles. Microsoft,Nintendo,PSN got better secured servers which makes it a hassle to hack games on consoles. But the only thing I dislike about the modern day consoles is that we gotta pay a reoccuring fee to use any of the online services like online multiplayer. But it would be nice to evolve the way games are played because I'd like to play in virtual reality or something instead of using a keyboard, mouse, controller and looking at a PC screen for hours on end.

I think its a wonderful idea. I would love to play MMOs on consoles and just the thought of some cross play mixed in would actually bring some PC and console players together if possible. But I think its a "BIG" chance for MMO Devs to move to new things like MMO console gaming. An yes I play both console and PC games love both.

I don't mind this so much, especially for PVP mmo's. PVP games on the PC are getting to riddled with cheaters. I've seen so many hackers in games its pathetic. Wall hacks are just the beginning. There are cheats that let you walk down the street of a game and fire from all directions killing everyone, that allow you to see people above you, transport them to where you are and kill them, and many more. The cheapest way to make these stop is to put the game on a console. Sure consoles aren't hack proof, but they're way better than PC's.

The way this can be fixed though is by streaming the game like Onlive did. Onlive streamed the whole game and some people didn't like that it wasn't as visually nice and there was some very slight ghosting lag in some games. The thing that can fix this is a person installs the game on their system and they get the graphics through their system, while the action is being done on the server. Do this and if someone tries to do a hack on their game, since the action is taken over by another server, it just shows up as a null action. So if someone say tries to do unlimited ammo, they would just use their clip and the server wouldn't know the hack so it would stop firing. It can send the code to do Microsoft who can check it out and reprimand the person for trying to cheat or not.

This would be expensive though since the game would also have to be on the remote sever, but maybe Microsoft could make a version of Xbox live for the PC and charge a similar yearly fee for it. People would be upset for a bit, but playing a game with no cheating would be worth it I think.

The last thing I want to play on console is a mmo game.
