Gambling is the wagering of money or something of value (referred to as "the stakes") on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning money or material goods.

Shouldn't take more than 10 years for the governments worldwide to understand the thing they are trying to regulate. Can't decide if I'm amused or horrified at the prospect. I bet that lack of understanding won't stop them from regulating it first and asking questions later. XD

They really need to categorize loot boxes as something else other than gambling.

When you lose at gambling, you loose everything. You get nothing.
|
Loot boxes on the other hand, when you loose ( or don't get what you want ), you still get junk. The gambling part of loot boxes comes from the rigged 0.0001% chance of obtaining said item.
|
If they're really worried about kids, then they should also go after all the rigged arcade/carnival games as well.
