MMO Thoughts - Is FFXIV Now "F2P" To You?

With the upcoming changes to the Final Fantasy XIV trial system, does this essentially make FFXIV free-to-play to you or is this just a REALLY expansive trial at the end of the day.

If all players under level 60 could play without a sub fee then yes. Without that then it's still just a trail. That being said if it means you can talk about the game on the cast more often ... I can make an exception.

Just pay for it, you are going to play maybe 2-3 months, its cheap, if not play something else.

No. Still a trial.

You can't play free if you have ever owned the game, plus there are still restrictions to the point that they would significantly affect gameplay.
