If you haven’t already gotten a chance at living out your “Ninja Gaiden in Space” fantasies within the hack-n-slash MMORPG Warframe you are in luck. In preparation for the upcoming Open Beta, Digital Extremes is hosting a special stress test open beta weekend available to everyone. Starting this Friday, February 15th at 12:00pm EST, anyone who registers an account can participate in the weekend beta blitz which ends the following Tuesday at 9:00am PST sharp.

To ensure the servers are truly pushed to capacity, the developers plan to entice players with what else but free stuff. Well technically almost free. During the Open Beta weekend, anyone who logs in can purchase an exclusive weapon in the market for just 1 credit. The BRATON VANDAL is a Limited Edition rifle that has been tuned and customized by the Tenno. Its colorful design makes it easily distinguishable from the standard Corpus BRATON and has lower fire rate than the standard model, but higher damage per shot.

Aspiring sword masters can head on over to the official site and register here.

It’s been in closed beta for awhile, but it’s exclusive to those who have beta keys, and to be able to get a key you must know someone who bought a “Founder’s Pack” or some other strange method.

Though from Feb 15-19 you could register without beta keys and enjoy playing the whole closed beta. :)

I myself got bored of this game when it was closed beta since everything looked exactly the same. Now it might be better if there’s been a change in scenery(spaceship corridors). i believe they added wall running as well and ziplining if i remember correctly?

I saw a really retarded review on mmosite.com, and despite the bad review (he just ran in circles hitting walls) he did say one things I LOLed at: “The armor looks like someone chewed a bunch of gum and stuck it together”. LOLS

Why do I have the feeling that you were the reviewer.

    • But everyone is okay with.. on February 14, 2013

Vindictus in D&D lore? (Neverwinter, obviously)

Everyone all like “ooohh… Neverwinter looks very cool and fun and.. it’s so new and fresh!!”

Man, gamers confuse me now.. Heck, I don’t even connect with any of them anymore..

Left4Dead was a 5 star game of the year.. Aliens: Colonial Marines (which is basically the same thing except with aliens and marines) is a 1 star worst game of the year??

I’ve given up on this community and all the negativity.. Wanting everything to fail, you guys SUCK!

UHHH dude….I think you are confused…. This is the WARFRAME article….not the Never Winter… Take your medicine. Calm down. And restart your brain.

        • Fact still remains though, the gaming community is pathetic now.. You can spew all the acid you’d like, but you guys have no brains yourselves.. You pick something up, try it and put it back down simply because you cannot play something for more than 5 minutes.. Call me what you want, but you are the one with Caca on your lips..

Colonial Marines is absolutely nothing like Left 4 Dead. There’s no real teamplay required, there is no versus mode, and the AI is absolutely terrible.

Loki is a support….I would suggest Volt or Excaliber

    • Adrian87 on February 14, 2013

Agree. I have been playing Volt a lot, and i had to try some different mod builds until i found one that i liked (power strength, range, efficiency, shield recharge and shield). Volt is a strong, easy to learn warframe. Until high level missions i had no problems with him.

an advice to anyone who is gonna play this
If u a solo player and u like to play alone and u not the kind of guy who would like cooparate with others DO NOT and i am serious DO NOT pick loki as your warframe or u will quit as i did just please trust me and dont pick him if you like soloying in pve(unless the “fixed” loki a bit and made him stand a chanche in pve then i take this back)

Loki is actually a great solo frame once he’s maxed out. Radial disarm turns swarms of grineer into useless punching bags, decoy can draw all fire if you use it correctly, letting you pick off all the enemies that would have been going after YOU instead, you can also switch teleport with your own decoy, allowing you to warp crazy distances at will, and it also forces aggro onto your decoy.

Invisibility just lets you run around and melee everything to death without fear of retaliation, and lets you easily deal with heavy enemies.

Though he starts out absolutely awful, and you HAVE to invest a reactor in it if you want it to be any good.

I don’t like warframe solo. It’s much easier with other players since you can revive each other and the fact that different warframes are better in different situations makes it easier to go trough the levels.

it would help if you mentioned why you were bored or what threw you off.
but if that’s all you’re gonna comment then…

it might because there is no epic bosses? as far as i played so far that’s my own reason why the game is kind of getting boring for me.

it those some 1 is call jackal. The boss are the mission were you need to assassination-(cant spell it ) those are the bosses but i got a litly bit bored because its hard to get parts for a warframe or to make a sword or some stuff like that
