New Free-To-Play WWII Base-Building Strategy Game Ground of Aces Is Now Live
Build your airfield, command iconic aircraft, and lead your crew to victory.
Ground of Aces, a free-to-play base-building strategy game, is officially out on Steam as of today, July 10.
The game takes place during World War II. Players take charge of a remote military air base. You build and customize your airfield, manage historic aircraft, oversee your crew’s morale and efficiency, defend against air raids, and send pilots on high-stakes missions. The goal is to help your nation survive and win the war.
Ground of Aces draws inspiration from base management titles like Rimworld and Going Medieval, paired with the strategic depth of Hearts of Iron IV. Its visual style pays tribute to the clean-line art of classic Franco-Belgian comics such as Biggles and Buck Danny.
Ground of Aces is currently in Early Access and has a buy-in price. It is marked as F2P on Steam, meaning it should shift when the game launches officially.
