Dragon Oath, the flagship MMO from ChangYou recieved its third expansion today. The Soul of the Sphinx expansion adds a new class appropriately titled the Sphinx which specializes in close combat and lightning attacks. The addition of the Sphinx class brings the total class lineup to 10 in Dragon Oath.

The new expansion boasts several new maps and instances for players to explore as they progress to the newly raised level cap. Additional content includes new class and general mounts, new companion type called souls which boost attributes and can be leveled up and customized, and pet equipment (for when a simple leash is just not enough).

Players interested in learning more about the update can read the official patch notes here. The Sphinx class certainly sounds interesting, but with classes seemingly becoming less and less unique, do you think its possible to have a unique class type in an MMO anymore?
