Albion Online Season 28 Begins Soon With New PvP Depths And Awakened Weapons
Here's your summer plans.
Season 28 of Albion Online begins on July 5, promising a two-month contest of guild dominance with a new twist.
Players of the F2P sandbox MMORPG in Asia, Europe, and the Americas can participate in the Conqueror’s Challenge to earn unique Avatar Sets, loot, and buffs. They can also take on the newly introduced Depths — a PvP dungeon launched as part of the Abyssal Depths update.
In celebration, Albion is offering boosted Season Points for players who complete the dungeon. There are also events like Invasion Days and double scoring mid-season. This latest season will run through September 2, with the final showdown taking place on August 30.
Additionally, Awakened Weapons are being introduced, offering players the chance to personalize their gear. By awakening a Pristine (.4) weapon at the Artifact Foundry, players can enhance stats such as power and attack speed and add unique Traits. These weapons are character-bound through an Attunement system and grow stronger through PvE Fame earned in full-loot PvP zones. The more Attunement Points earned, the more powerful and customizable the weapon becomes.
Traits on Awakened Weapons can be added, upgraded, or replaced, with increasing costs tied to a system called Strain. The process is expensive, though, so be careful before deciding. These weapons carry a Legendary Rating, too, determining the number of traits and their survival in the game world after death.
