HSR V 3-4 Phainon

The latest Honkai: Star Rail Special Program aired this morning, offering players a hint of what’s to come in Version 3.4, “For the Sun is Set to Die”. The update will continue the Trailblazer’s adventures in Amphoreus as the Flame Chase Journey seems to be coming to an end. But, this is Star Rail, an action RPG known for its twists and turns, and it seems pretty unlikely the Trailblazer will just let things end the way they look like they’re going to.

On July 2, the update finally introduces Phainon as a new playable character, and is it just me, or does his ultimate form look a bit like Nanook? It also brings enhancements for several of the game’s characters, most of which happen to be Stellaron Hunters. (Hmm…) Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jinglu will all have their battle mechanics enhanced. However, players can choose whether they want to play with the enhancements or not.

Speaking of the Stellaron Hunters, Firefly is getting some love as well. She’s getting a new look with the new Spring Missive outfit. (It’s a schoolgirl outfit.) To match the new outfit, her mech has a new look too.

Version 3.4 will also bring the Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collaboration to the game. Saber and Archer will visit the Star Rail universe to take part in a competition on Penacony. Some of our Penacony friends will be there as well. The event kicks off on July 11, and during it, players will be able to obtain the five-star Archer character for free. Mostly-full details on the update can be found in the video below. They were obviously trying to avoid spoilers.
