Armored Warfare Shows Off Tank Classes
We haven't heard much from Obsidian Entertainment's Armored Warfare for a while, but they're making up for that in a big way today, with a 13-minute video about tank classes, narrated by Senior Producer Josh Morris.
Not surprisingly, main battle tanks are the biggest and baddest boys on the battlefield, with their only real weakness being a lack of acceleration and maneuverability. But the other four classes -- light tanks, armored fighting vehicles, tank destroyers, and self-propelled guns -- all have their roles and special abilities. As Morris says, while realism is important, the key is creating a good game, not a 100% accurate simulation. SPGs, in particular, have seen a lot of adjustment since their introduction into the beta, to produce a more balanced and entertaining game.
Check out the video and let us know what your favorite tank will be!
UPDATE 2/24: Video replaced with a corrected video at the publisher's request since the first video contained an error.
