We haven’t heard much from Obsidian Entertainment’s Armored Warfare for a while, but they’re making up for that in a big way today, with a 13-minute video about tank classes, narrated by Senior Producer Josh Morris.

Not surprisingly, main battle tanks are the biggest and baddest boys on the battlefield, with their only real weakness being a lack of acceleration and maneuverability. But the other four classes — light tanks, armored fighting vehicles, tank destroyers, and self-propelled guns — all have their roles and special abilities. As Morris says, while realism is important, the key is creating a good game, not a 100% accurate simulation. SPGs, in particular, have seen a lot of adjustment since their introduction into the beta, to produce a more balanced and entertaining game.

Check out the video and let us know what your favorite tank will be!

UPDATE 2/24: Video replaced with a corrected video at the publisher’s request since the first video contained an error.

HP Bars like World of Tanks instead of a realistic system like War Thunder’s.

Looks like they are going for the full arcade experience just like WoT. Kind of dissapointing, but oh well thats what seems to make money these days.

I okay with health bars, but WoT’s big cones of fire and camouflage system? C’mon…
