Palia Luna Update

The Winter Wonder: Riffrocin’ New Year update dropped in Palia today, bringing a festive celebration to the free-to-play cozy open-world MMORPG. The update starts the celebration of the game’s “Luna New Year” with festivities at the Fairgrounds as players celebrate the Year of the Riffroc. The celebration includes festive lanterns, new décor, special rewards, and a variety of events – such as the skater activity “Path of the Shred”.

During the festivities, players will be able to find all kinds of goodies in the Maji Treasure Chests, earn rewards from stamp card achievements, and take part in the Hot Pot game. Of course, there’s an event bundle to be obtained as well and plenty of event-related décor, including harvest baskets, tea tins, and Riffroc items. (Yes, there’s a plush.)

The update also brings the Roli to the game. This little critter looks like an armadillo and is good at finding salt crystals that can be used in recipes.

Also introduced in this update is a newly official way to gather the Water Tower from the Players Ranch. This is apparently something players were doing on their own, and the devs decided to make it a thing, allowing players to gather without heading out of bounds.

Oh, and for the cooking fans out there, the 12-day community cooking event, Reth’s Soup-erb Bowl, will run from February 6 to February 18, during which time players will cook soups together in a Super Bowl-inspired event. Players will have to gather ingredients and do everything they can to keep the soup coming, all to meet a shared goal.
