Dauntless Kicks Off The Finale Of The "Dire Discovery" Season And Bonus Progression Events In Tomorrow's Update
The standard affair of bug fixes and changes also comes with the patch.
Just under two weeks after the behemoth Earthshaper Fenroar was released, Phoenix Labs is set to release the final chapter of the "Dire Discovery" season, new bonus progression events, and more in Dauntless tomorrow. The devs are determined to launch the update at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and expect to have a downtime of roughly 60 minutes.
The patch notes published on the Dauntless website highlight "Dire Discovery: A Shadow," the finale to the ongoing season, and new bonus progress events that will run until the end of the year. While details are sparse concerning the final chapter, players can expect the upcoming events to offer bonus progression and temporary repeatable quests.

Each of these events will be linked to a character in Ramsgate. One such event is "Bosun's Bounty," rewarding players with a bounty token whenever completing a bounty and also debuts a repeatable Escalation quest to earn more of them. The devs plan to start with five bonus events that will get slotted into a regular rotation till the end of 2022.
Other areas in the patch notes reveal that the "Founder" and "Slayer of the Queen" titles are now legendary. Furthermore, the Umbral Nayzaga Normal Trial features a "Deadly" modifier as the Dauntless version gets the same treatment but also has a "Fury" modifier.
