Dauntless (Officially) Launches With More Than 15 Million Players
It's really easy to forget that sometimes a game that's "launched" hasn't officially done so. Such is the case with Dauntless which leaves Early Access today with the release of the 1.0 Update. The update includes the game's largest seasonal expansion so far, "Aether Unbound". This features a new weapon, Behemoth, Hunt Pass, and more.
The new weapon, known as aether strikers, actually transforms Slayers into living weapons. When transformed they can use fast attacks and techniques not available with any other weapon type. The update also implements a new bounty system that replaces weekly quests and Hunt Pass part breaks. Players can now choose what bounties they'd like to take on. More information on both of these, as well as other new content, is available on the game's site. (Or, you can just log into the game and check it all out for yourself.)
