Dead By Daylight Introducing First AI-Controlled Animal Companion In Doomed Course
The newest Killer’s hound will aid them in hunting Survivors.
Today, Behaviour Interactive introduced a new Killer and Survivor To Dead by Daylight’s Steam public test build. The Killer, Portia May – or The Houndmaster – once witnessed the torture and murder of her father at the hands of pirates. Since then, she – along with the faithful hound her father gave her before his death – has been living on Dragon’s Tooth Island in the Bermuda Triangle, punishing those responsible for her father’s death.
Now Portia enters the fog of Dead by Daylight along with the hound Snug, the horror game’s first AI-controlled companion. Snug aids Portia in her hunt by either chasing or searching for Survivors. If he manages to locate a survivor, he can even drag them back to Portia so she can go to work.
Also introduced in Doomed Curse is a Survivor who was raised in a cult dedicated to the worship of The Entity. Taurine Cain was born to parents in the Black Talon cabal and lost her mother and brother when exploring an overlap between our world and the Entity’s Realm known as a “Bleed”. When she returned she was even more devoted to The Entity, but then she was taken by The Fog.
Players can try out both of these characters on the Steam public test build starting today. For those who would rather wait, the Doomed Course update will officially release on November 26.
