Echo of Soul Class Reveal

Aeria Games' upcoming beta/release of Echo of Soul is quickly approaching. Today we get a sneak peek at the 5 classes that will be available in the free-to-play MMORPG upon launch here in the west. The video above only details the Rogue class, so expect more videos to be released soon detailing each of the other classes.

In predictable MMORPG fashion, the five classes are Warrior, Archer, Rogue, Guardian, and Sorceress. Think of the Guardian as a supporting class and the Sorceress as a mage and you've got the picture. With no dedicated healer class, Echo of Soul will require teams to work together and keep themselves alive as much as possible.

Each of the five classes also has 2 distinct specializations that give players the ability to tailor their class to their particular play style. Like nuking things from afar? Specialize as a Firemage Sorceress then. An Archer specializing in the Bard skills can provide support to their party and debuff enemies.

"Allowing players to customize their class and play how they like is a critical component that sets Echo of Soul apart in the MMO genre," says Alex Billaud, Associate Producer. "Gamers will be able to adapt their character to the playstyle they like best, and each party will need to strategically balance these specializations to fill the 'traditional' MMO healer role - something unique to Echo of Soul."

You can sign up for the Echo of Soul beta on the newly revamped website.

A tired MMOplayer 9 years ago
This is really getting annoying I'm tired of WOW-based Tab-targeting-clone games, I wanna be able to run around my enemy dropkick them in the face, and axe kick them into the ground so hard it terraforms the ground. Or be a berzerk warrior and hit my enemy so hard with my 2h sword that it flings them into a tree nearby, breaks it, the physics engine kicks in and the tree collapses onto the enemy. Or be the magician that summons a !#@$ing meteor that hits the Boss Monster, the Boss with his smart AI will grab the meteor as it's trying to crush him and create a crater in the ground because of the intense weight. I want an MMO with a server max of 100-500 or more, in a randomly generated neverending world, with a day/nite system, when it's night if you don't have a lamp/light, you won't be going anywhere.
Too bad computers can't process that shit.
Won't be seeing a game like that till VR is completely mainstream....

for those worried about aeria being the publisher... I give it four months after launch for a dedicated private server to come along hosting the game in the west without aeria's infamous pay to win model.

..Judging from the video it's the same old WoW-esque combat we've seen for the last god knows how long.
