Eve Online Faction Warfare Update

Eve Online players now have more ways to take part in the MMO game’s factional warfare with the launch of the “Path To War” update. This update expands the system and offers players more freedom with the introduction of Direct Enlistment. This means that players can now take part in factional warfare activities without having to leave their corporation or alliance. Players enroll themselves despite being part of an unaligned player corporation.

The update also kicks off a new Shadow War Event, allowing players to use interstellar shipcasters to project ships from their home system directly into Factional Warfare conflict hotspots. This should really cut down on travel time. Each faction has different things they need to accomplish during this event in order to succeed. The Caldari requires a stellar transmuter that can be stolen from the Amarr or Minmatar. The Amarr or Minmatar need transport relay tech stolen from the Caldari. The Gallente on the other hand needs to steal both types of technology.

In addition, players can now get corp and alliance emblems on all their ships. Any that were unable to be marked before can be marked now. And finally, CCP has also announced that players still have time to get their character into the EVE Online 20th anniversary mosaic.
