Guild Wars 2 Feb 2026 Update

Today, ArenaNet dropped a new update in Guild Wars 2, adding to the free-to-play MMORPG’s sixth expansion, Visions of Eternity. What the biggest feature of this update is will likely depend on what kind of player you are. For the raiders among you, the introduction of Guardian’s Glade will be a big deal. The raid is designed for squads of 10 players who will fight against one of the Guardians of Castora. Raiders will have three weeks to spend with this before a new challenge mode is introduced.

Continuing with the subject of raiding, the new update introduces raid quickplay and a new overhaul of the raid system. Quickplay will allow players to be matched with nine other players in pre-selected raid encounters. The overhaul, on the other hand, will improve the raid system and introduce new achievements and rewards. Details on the raid system updates can be found in the video below.

For the more fashion-minded players, the new fashion templates might be the headliner feature of this update. These templates allow players to adjust and save the appearances of their gear using templates that can be swapped out on the fly. All playhers get two free template slots as well as free Transmutation Charges that they can use to try out the systems.

The update also updates the Wizard’s Vault with new rewards and objectives. And, as it is that time of year, the Lunar New Year festival is underway.
