According to the official website, the game is a standalone project with gameplay mechanics similar to the original title. Players will participate in gladiatorial battles in various arenas in the city of Tarkov, organized by a mysterious group of Arena Masters led by the Host. The game will include various PvP and PvE game modes, weapon and gear unlocks, ratings, and unique features for owners of the main Escape from Tarkov game. For owners of the Edge of Darkness pack, Arena will be available for free as DLC, while for others, it will be a paid option.
There's no release date yet for Arena but an alpha version might go live this year.
