NCSoft showed off two new games during Gamescom’s Open Night Live stream today. Though both are part of the shooter genre, they each offer players something different. It wasn’t explicitly stated that these games are free-to-play, but as it’s NCSoft, it seems fairly likely.

The games in question are Mistil Games’ Time Takers and the previously revealed Cinder City (formerly Project LLL). Time Takers is a third-person, team-based survival shooter where time is used as a resource. Players take on the role of “Time Travelers”, choosing characters pulled from different eras and fighting in teams of three. During matches, they’ll collect Time Energy needed to upgrade skills.

Players can choose how to spend their Time Energy, creating their own builds that will change how the characters play, allowing for unique matches.

Cinder City, on the other hand, is an MMO tactical shooter in which players take on the role of a futuristic knight fighting their way through a post-apocalyptic Seoul. As they play, players will be asked to make “brutal” choices while they search for a missing child. The good news is they don’t have to search alone and can do so with a squad. Or, they can go it alone if that’s what they prefer.
