Get A Look At That ‘80s Fashion In Action In Ascendant Infinity’s First Gameplay Trailer
Some of these characters look like they just stepped off the set of Glow.
It’s time to get a look at PlayFusion’s "adaption shooter" Ascendant Infinity in action. Today, the developer released the game’s first gameplay trailer, offering a glimpse of the game’s characters and environment as they engage in battle.
As with a lot of gameplay trailers, this one doesn’t really show off the game’s HUD, but thanks to the press release we do know a bit more about the game. It’s an “adaptation shooter” – an “evolving team-based objective shooter where players must work together to not only overcome other teams, but also the ever-shifting world around them”. The matches are 3v3v3v3.
Every time a player joins a match, the map is different. Everything from the landscape to events change. The idea is that players will need to outthink each other every time.
As for the rest of the trailer, it maintains that ‘80s vibe we’ve gotten from earlier trailers. Some of the characters look like they stepped out of an aerobics video. One dude is rocking those ‘80s gym shorts. It’s a whole mood.
In addition to the trailer, PlayFusion also teased the game’s first Closed Beta. We don’t have a precise date for that, but signups are open on the game’s site.
