Halo Inf Feb Update

While Halo Infinite’s Season 3 will be arriving in just a few short weeks on March 7, players can enjoy an additional update this Wednesday, February 15. Players can expect updates to the UXUI, where the Ranked CSR widget should now clearly communicate increases and decreases in CSR.

In addition, there has been a lot of feedback concerning too much power on the map in Ranked Arena. To fix this issue, In the Ranked Arena playlist and HCS, Weapon Racks have been updated, now having each Weapon Rack set to a “Red Rack” state after the weapon is picked up. Meaning, once a weapon is picked up, the Weapon Rack won’t spawn another weapon until the original has despawned. This should reduce the overall power and ensure a more competitive environment. Players should also expect ammo reductions for Heatwave, Stalker Rifle, CQs48 Bulldog, and the Shock Rifle with the launch of Season 3.

Frag Grenade damage has also been reduced, its radius of impact being reduced from 2.7 world units to 2.5 world units. Also, due to the fact that the Drop Weapon meta has become very prominent in competitive play, the Drop Weapon mechanic will now have the same speed as normal weapon switching.

Lastly, Halo Infinite’s S7 Sniper will have its error angle reduced when no-scoping. The error angle max has been reduced by 30%, the error angle minimum has been reduced by 55%, and the time to reset bloom has been reduced by 20%. When this update lands next week, players should notice some improvements when going for kills where no scope is involved.

Players who would like to read the full notes can do so on Halo Infinite's official site.
