Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 3 Debuts Next Week With New Undead/Dual-Type Minions And Reward Track
Professor Putricide's new creations are taking over Battlegrounds Quests.
Today, Blizzard announced that Battlegrounds Season 3 in Hearthstone debuts next week on January 17th. This time, Professor Putricide is taking over Season 3 with his new creations, introducing new Undead/Dual-type minions and a refreshed reward track with unique cosmetics.
In total, 32 minions are coming with Battlegrounds Season 3, with 16 being Undead minions and the rest as Dual-types. The Undead minions will take advantage of Reborn, Deathrattle, and other death effects, but Dual-types can synergize with two distinct minion types.
Putricide also gets a makeover thanks to his new Hero Power called "Build An Undead," allowing players to craft up to three custom Undead throughout the game.
The upcoming Battlegrounds Track on January 17th will include Scourge and fiery Silvermoon-themed cosmetics from The Battle for Silvermoon. Players who purchase the Season Pass can unlock all stages of the new Silvermoon Legendary Strike, earn up to 15 Hero Skins throughout Season 3, and instantly get +2 Hero options at the start of each game.
Players interested in seeing/hearing more about Battlegrounds Season 3 can expect more details from the devs over the next few days. That includes card reveals, discussions about Battlegrounds balance changes, and developer interviews.
Lastly, to celebrate the eventual launch of Season 3, Blizzard will have its first-ever Battlegrounds-specific Twitch drop between January 17th at 10:00 a.m. to January 23rd at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Watch any Hearthstone Twitch stream for one hour to earn the new Lightkeeper Xyrella Epic Battlegrounds Skin (above) during that time.

Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
