Grab your masks and your spookiest costumes, it’s time to party. On Septmber 29, Hearthstone kicks off a series of limited-time events, including a Masquerade Ball Tavern Brawl on October 7. During the brawl, when players play a minion it transforms into a different minion that costs (2) more. When the transformed minion dies, it will automatically be replaced by the minion played in the first place. Like the rest of the events coming over the next few weeks, this one will last for a short period before being replaced by the next.

As for the rest of the dates, September 29 offers up three different activities, including the Rise of the Zombeasts Tavern Brawl. October 13 introduces Rexxar’s story in the Hearthstone Book of Heroes. October 14 features the Boss Battle Royale 3 Tavern Brawl. Players can also use the full time from September 29 through October 13 to complete Legendary quests in order to earn 9 card packs.

On an additional note, the Hearthstone team is updating the battlegrounds rating system. For those interested in what goes into these changes, the game’s Lead Data Scientist published a post on the game’s blog detailing the science behind them.
