Hearthstone's Kobolds & Catacombs Expansion Arrives December 7
If you're a Hearthstone player that's really big on rat creatures, rejoice. You only have a little over a week to wait for the release of the game's Kobolds & Catacombs update.
Announced at Blizzcon, the expansion adds legendary weapons to the game and promises free PvE dungeon runs. But more importantly, it brings the little candle-loving ratfolk to your decks and will take players to an underground realm filled with shiny things and lots of monsters.
As with most Blizzard expansions, this one is available to pre-purchase. For $49.99, players will get 50 card packs and a Hoard-centric card back. The card back will be made available to players as soon as their purchase is processed. You'll have to wait for release day to get the cards.
In addition to the pre-purchase, Blizzard also announced some launch rewards. Players who log in after the expansion release will receive 3 Kobolds & Catacombs card packs and a random Legendary Weapon card for free. There will also be a chance to earn more card packs by completing three one-time only, sequential Dungeon run quests. You'll need to unlock these by completing the Duelist Quest if you haven't already.
