Hit2 Release

Nexon released a new trailer today that revealed their upcoming MMORPG Heroes of Incredible Tales (HIT) 2 would launch in Korea on August 25, globally later this year. Following the now-defunct HIT mobile game by Nexon's subsidiary, NAT Games, HIT2 will carry the IP's legacy and arrive on PC and mobile platforms.

HIT2 is a mix of something entirely new and a literal reboot of the first game. It maintains much of its hack n' slash identity from the original and even brings back old characters. This time around, Nexon is expanding the scale of siege warfare and ramping up the game's combat experience. For those who don't know, HIT was massively popular in Korea and will likely hit big numbers again if Nexon's promises pull through.

HIT2 will offer different game modes from PvE content to PvP battles between player territories. These encounters will involve large-scale battles where occupying castles gives players a crucial foothold on the battlefield. In addition, there are six playable classes with distinct skills and advantages depending on the map and flow of battle.

HIT2 will continue where the original left off when it comes to the story, but most resources are focused on combat, so it might not be a strong point. More news on the global release will be available soon, but for those curious about the Korean launch, pre-registration for Android and iOS is now available.
