Open-World Wuxia RPG Where Winds Meet Passes 5 Million Pre-Registrations With A Month Left Til Launch
To celebrate, the devs have dropped a new gameplay trailer.
More than 5 million players have pre-registered for NetEase and Everstone Studio’s upcoming Wuxia action RPG, Where Winds Meet. That’s a lot of people readyh to explore 10th-century China. To celebrate the milestone, the devs decided to share a new gameplay trailer. The trailer doesn’t just show off the game’s combat. It also introduces some of unusual features and activities players can find in it. Of course, it gives players a peek at the game’s environment as well.
When the game launches on November 14, players will have more than 20 different regions to explore, ranging from the grand capital to undergound caves. There’s even a ghost market. Despite it’s size, the game should feel pretty lively as it boasts 10,000 different NPCs, each designed with their own personality. Each will also respond to the player’s actions differently, and players can either make them allies or enemies.
During their travels, players can learn more than 40 different Martial Mystic Arts, some inspired by wild animals. Others can be learned from the various characters in the game. It combines traditional Kung Fu with fantasy combat styles and incorporates a wide variety of weapons, Mystic Arts, and other techniques to create a diverse combat system. Some of that can be seen in the video below – as well as some antics.
