Apex Legends Takes The Fight To The Gundam Universe In Latest Crossover Event

Today, the Apex Legends team announced what is arguably one of the cooler video-game crossover events – particularly if you’re a Gundam fan. The Apex Legends x Gundam Event brings Gundam-inspired combat to the free-to-play team shooter, even changing the Broken Moon map into a full Gundam battlefield complete with giant statues, destroyed Mobile Suits, and ships fighting overhead.

Players can pick up skins for eight of the game’s characters. These include a Gundam Epyon skin for Alter, a Freedom Gundam skin for Crypto, and a Wing Gundam Zero skin for Valkyrie. Conduit, Gibby, Mirage, Octane, and Revenant are also getting their own skins. Beyond that, there are eight weapon skins, including the “Buster Rifle” Kraber skin.

New Gundam-themed Wild Cards are being introduced to the game as well. Epyon’s Lash will introduce a magnetic melee pull ability while Zero Sacrifice triggers a self-destruct explosion on death. More details on each of these and more can be found on the Apex Legends site.
