Palworld Is Addressing Cheating Already… Because Of Course They Have To
The developer also shared a roadmap for Early Access.
Palworld may have just launched but that apparently hasn’t stopped them from having issues with cheating on the game’s official server. Yesterday, the developers published a short post stating that “some players have been confirmed to be cheating” and that they will apply a patch as soon as they have one ready. They also offered the caveat that it’s “currently difficult to completely prevent all cheating immediately”. The post went on to add that the developer plans to “create an environment where everyone can play with peace of mind”, and apologized to anyone impacted by the current wave of cheaters.
It seems they’re moving quickly on dealing with the issue, as about forty-five minutes later, another post dropped sharing patch notes for v0.1.3.0. In addition to a couple of bug fixes and text corrections, the patch notes also list countermeasures against cheats and exploits.
In addition to dealing with the cheating issues, Pocketpair also shared a roadmap this week, outlining their plans for Early Access. The roadmap includes addressing bugs, improving AI and pathing, and a list of future updates.
