Where Winds Meet Announces Imperial Palace Expansion And Shares A “Massive” Content Roadmap
This will be the game’s second major expansion since launch.

The Goose Overlord is back with some news. Okay, he’s really back with the Where Winds Meet Half-Anniversary Special. (Time really flies.) In the Half-Anniversary special, the devs explain what they’ve been doing to improve the free-to-play action RPG, such as making the gear grind less annoying, introducing independent machmaking pools for the different regions, improving the beginner experience, optimizing console controllers, and more.
The video then goes on to discuss plans for the game’s future, which include adding servers in Australia and South America, among other things.
While they’re working on all of that, players will be able to enjoy the Half-Anniversary content, including a hidden hub of information named the Sandstorm Tavern, which will kick off the game’s next batch of story content and take players back to the palace in Kaifeng City. This is the start of the game’s second major expansion, simply titled “Imperial Palace”. This update will launch in late May.
In addition, players can also look forward to the Homesteads and Companion systems as well as the new Gauntlets weapon. Oh. And if you feel like looking like a Panda, a limited-time Panda cosmetic will be available on the store starting Monday. Players can claim three other premium outfits for free during the event.
