RuneScape: Idle Adventures Being Shuttered After Only 8 Months
If you're one of those Steam users who don't pay much attention to announcements and updates after you've downloaded a game and you play RuneScape: Idle Adventures, you're going to want to take note of this. As of May 15 the game will be no more.
Recently, Hyper Hippo Productions revealed that while the game had "been an awesome experiment," development would cease. Not only that, but the game won't even be staying on Steam. It's being removed completely.
The reasoning behind this decision is that despite the work being put into the game and the feedback received from players, it just wasn't bringing more players in. Those who did find their way into the game weren't sticking around long.
It's always sad to see a game go... particularly when they're so young. Hopefully the time spent on development of Idle Adventures isn't a complete wash and the devs can take what they learned from it into the next project.
