Sea Of Thieves Season 5 Update Adds Burying Treasure, Fireworks, And Even Sitting
You can take naps or sail cannon rowboats, too.
All aboard the party boat! No really, Sea of Thieves is getting a party boat along with party outfits and weapons. They’re part of the Season 5 free-pass rewards and only a portion of what’s coming in the December 2nd update. Of course, they’re not the only thing. There’s plenty of other Season rewards and, if you want to spend some money, even more Season rewards, including a glow-in-the-dark Boreal Aurora ship set.
The update is also heavily focused on quality of life additions such as the ability to sit or lay down for a nap. Other additions include the ability to bury treasure. Don’t worry, you won’t forget where you left it. Instead, you get a map showing the location of said treasure that you can then post on the quest board, so other players can track it down. Should they find it, you still get the reputation for cashing it in, in addition to a whole bunch of Renown. Other additions include things like cannon rowboats (that would be a rowboat with a cannon attached...just for fun), fireworks, Christmas-themed items, and some crossover Pirates of the Caribbean stuff.
There’s a new dog, too! He’s apparently untrustworthy if you can believe that about a dog. You can see him and everything else in the trailer below.
