Japanese PS4 players can now get their hands on Gematsu’s third-person shooter Figureheads. The mech-filled game launched on the system last week. The game has been available on PC for almost two years, but hasn’t made its way west as of yet. Perhaps this shift to PS4 means there’s a chance of it coming our way in the near future.

The PS4 version will be launching with a new PvE mode and those that pre-register for the game will get a set of Xenogear items. PS4 fans wanting to play the game can download it via the PlayStation 4 store. It will require you to have a Japanese account to do so, so set your country of residence to Japan to sign up.

dammit it, launch it in the west will ya, the game is extremely fun to play innovative with its squad based system. Playing it for practically ages but it is a hassle to always use a VPN to start the game and all.

why is it only asia makes the best of games? get your sht togther america

Agreed. america makes horrible anime games but asia makes the best of the best. I seen indie devs in america make great anime games but it’s just the big corporate empire guys they make something look good then it’s horrible when you play it I hate that 🙁 But yeah america needs to get their sht together.

Asian games, especially MMOs are a piece of crap – they only have shiny graphics, the story is either too generic or non-existent, the game play is shallow and mostly revolving around grinding and microtransactions.

Asian RPGs, namely Japanese and some Chinese that copy the Japanese counterparts have an interesting story, but the combat of JRPGs is something I find very annoying and boring and I avoid them for this reason.

Some Western games usually have great story, great game play (Mass effect series, Morrowind, Styx, Heroes of Might & Magic 1-3, Dungeon Siege, Neverwinter Nights, Planescape Torment, Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, Divinity series, Pillars of Eternity, Avadon series, Avernum series, D&D games, Age of Empires 2, Tzar, Diablo 1 and 2, World of Warcarft, Warcarft 1, 2 and 3).

Deifying Asian games makes you sound like a furry weeb. Take a deep breath and look around, all countries make games, some are good, some are bad.

I forgot to mention, in case someone wants to argue. I really would like to know how the newest version of TERA is better than the oldest version of World of Warcraft (from 2004, aka Vanilla WoW, the one that has tons of private servers right now and thousands of people are playing it)

Dang it, I just want a fast-paced mech MMO. The only ones we have in NA is Mechwarrior Online and Hawken and they’re both Slow-Paced. I used to play Exteel and it was fun, but it shut down.
