Valorant's Episode 4, Act II Overhauls Yoru And Sends Controllers "Through The Workshop"
Icebox map gets renovated, while new Battlepass loot incorporates "popular community memes."
Riot Games has kicked off Valorant's Episode 4, Act II, which it describes as "the one focused on cleaning house." Yoru gets an "overhaul," which sees his Fakeout clone run toward an enemy that shoots it and explode. To add to his repertoire of confusion, he can fake his Gatecrash teleport and has full access to his utility while in Dimensional Drift.
Each controller "is going through the workshop and should come out with more distinct power profiles." That means changes to Owen, Brimstone, Astra, and Viper, all of which you can read about in detail in the patch notes. That's also where you'll see before-and-after pics for the changes made to the Icebox map, which take up about 2/3 of the post. Those were made to "revamp the post-plant possibilities on B site, along with some quality of life improvements."
The new Battlepass incorporates "popular community memes and themes made into Sprays, titles, and Gun Buddies," like Jett’s "Stop!" spray and a Mi Goreng noodles gun buddy. There's also the Gaia's Vengeance skin line available for purchase, which "is born of the magical woods that grew before humankind's reign." Sounds perfect for people who set and defuse bombs in a futuristic city.

I've played them all for years, now it's time to pick one.

The game offers PC and mobile players “battle on a massive scale”.

The update includes several events as well as a collection of quality-of-life changes.

Honestly, it seems like a small change from the "norm," but I kind of dig it.
