Valorant Teases Reworks, New Game Mode, System Updates, And Other Changes
There’s also new info on dealing with disruptive players.

A new year means a new season in Valorant, and today Riot shared some information on the free-to-play shooter's new season’s first Act in the first Dev Updates video of the year. The eleven-minute video covers several pieces of new content that the team plans to introduce, including a new gun, a rework of Breeze, a new game mode, and updates to the MMR System.
The new gun, “Bandit”, is intended to be something between Ghost and Sheriff. Players who master it should be able to pull off 1-shot headshot kills on enemies wearing Light armor. The idea is to make up for where Ghost begins to lack and offer players new ways to show off their aim.
On the topic of the Breeze rework, it will allow for more controller diversity and reworks big open spaces to close them in a little more. This also means that Breeze is back in the map rotation, and during the first two weeks, RR losses are reduced by 50%.
A new game mode, AR1S or “All Random, One Site”, is a limited-time 5v5 arcade spike mode in which players spawn as random agents on every round. The mode features smaller maps and more ultimates.
Another topic covered in the video is the team’s plans for dealing with “disruptive behavior”. Part of these plans is to require players to sign a new Community Pact when logging in to the game. Apparently, this will be a yearly thing. They admit that that alone doesn’t sound like much, but it’s intended to reinforce the company’s stance on player behavior. There have been changes to policies, so it offers players the opportunity to find out what’s changed. (That is, of course, if they bother to read it before agreeing.)
