Wrath of Lich King Classic Info

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic is still determined to go live globally on September 26, sending newcomers and longtime veterans up against The Lich King himself atop the Icecrown Citadel. The expansion features returning content from the original WotLK in 2008 including the Death Knight class, Inscription profession, flying in Northrend, and plenty more.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic will drop in the Americas, Europe, Taiwan, Korea, and Australia/New Zealand at the same time globally but, of course, at different release times according to their regions. No matter where you are, you can locate the official release time on the WoW website. However, for the Americas, we will be seeing the classic expansion live at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time or 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 26.

On Blizzard's dev blog, fans can also dive deeper into the returning features for the expansion. For example, players could read a detailed post on the Death Knight and get a taste of its gameplay during the current pre-patch, or read through a zone guide of Zul'drak and Sholazar Basin. Interviews with the dev teams and their thoughts on specific aspects of the massive patch on the blog will further detail how they're rebuilding Northrend from the ground up.

If you're joining the big launch day, what class are you rolling with and is there anything you're excited to experience? Let us know below!

Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
